Why the Google number is often high. Most companies here carry a 4.5 or better on Google alongside a 1 or 2 star Yelp average. Google review volume is heavily shaped by post-service prompts, while Yelp and BBB tend to collect reviews from customers who went looking for somewhere to complain. We show both, lead with the weaker one, and leave the reading to you. Complaint counts for national brands (Terminix, TruGreen, All My Sons, ARS) are company-wide totals from the BBB, not Lakewood Ranch alone.
Methodology: candidates were drawn from Google, Yelp, Angi and BBB profiles for businesses serving Lakewood Ranch. We required a public profile with enough reviews or complaints to be meaningful, and we excluded businesses that appear to be closed.
